Investing in drones presents a compelling opportunity in today's dynamic technological landscape. Drones have transcended their origins in hobbyist and recreational use to become indispensable tools across industries. As we seek innovative solutions for efficiency and data collection, drone technology offers cost-effective alternatives to traditional methods. From agriculture and construction to infrastructure inspection and environmental monitoring, drones provide real-time data, enhance decision-making processes, and reduce operational costs. As the technology advances. Successful investment requires thorough research, staying attuned to evolving regulations, and identifying emerging trends. In embracing the potential of drones, we position ourselves at the forefront of a transformative technological wave with the potential to revolutionize countless sectors.
Over the past 5 years, we have dedicated significant investments towards procuring expensive drone equipment, interchangeable lenses, and accessories. Additionally, we have diligently obtained the high-tier CASA Licenses, which have demanded considerable financial resources and time.
We have had the privilege of receiving private instruction, gaining valuable knowledge, and mastering the art of drone filmmaking under the guidance of David Franjic, award winning Cinematographer and Jerry Grayson (AFC), a seasoned Navy Rescue and Film Pilot with an illustrious 35-year career in aerial filming within the film industry. Jerry Grayson is not only our expert mentor in the drone field but also a trusted collaborator with whom we frequently work on various projects, and we take great pride in this partnership.
Operating legally with the following Licenses issued by Civil Aviation Safety Authority in Australia :
Remote Operator Certificate (ReOC): is a regulatory requirement for individuals or organizations in Australia intending to operate drones commercially. The ReOC ensures compliance with safety regulations and qualifications, allowing operators to conduct drone operations for various professional purposes. This allows us to commercially fly drones up to 25Kg's. It also licenses us to fly not only at night but also within Restricted and Controlled Airspaces, near airports with the appropriate CASA authorisation.
Aeronautical Operator Certificate (AROC): certifies individuals for radio communication duties in the aviation industry. It ensures proper communication skills and compliance with aeronautical communication standards for safe and effective air traffic control.
Remote Pilot License: authorizes individuals to operate drones for commercial purposes. It demonstrates proficiency in piloting skills and regulatory knowledge, enabling safe and legal drone operations in various industries. Operating a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom for low budget projects and access to a range of Phantom 4 - Phantom 4 Pro drones.
Insurance: 12.5 Million Dollar: Worldwide Aviation-specific public liability insurance provides coverage for bodily injury or property damage caused by UAV operations. It safeguards aviation businesses and operators from potential legal and financial liabilities arising from accidents or incidents during flight operations.
Flying with our DJI Inspire 2 kit requires us to proceed with several legal and safety checks including: feasibility check, on site Job Safety Assessment, detailed Checklists, Pre Flight Safety Briefing and Checks, consent forms to be signed.
The full kit includes:
DJI Inspire 2 Drone, X5S MFT camera, interchangeable lenses Olympus 15mm, 25mm, 45mm, Advanced Cendence Remote control, original DJI remote control for dual operation with DOP's, Polar Pro Cinema Series ND/PL filters (ND/PL4 - 8 - 16 - 32 - 64), 6pairs of TB50 Batteries, DJI Smart Charging Station (charging 4 pairs of batteries in under 20 minutes), EcoFlow 3,500W Lithium Generator, 400W foldable solar panels, 1200W inverter for remote location recharging, Icom IC-A16 (CASA approved radio for VHF aeronautical communication), dual radio communication set for spotter, blades guard for safety, cones for safety perimeter and take off/landing zone, protective helmet, high visibility jacket, Fire blanket.
We take flying drones very seriously in terms of safety for all stakeholders on set and assets around the filming area by always complying to strict CASA rules, regulations and Visual Line Of Sight.
We are often challenged and pushed hard to fly higher, lower, closer and faster by Clients and Directors, when our drone is airborne, we will make the feasibility call on behalf everybody and all assets safety.
In addition to shooting aerial video content with drones, we also provide for Asset Inspection work, Aerial Survey, 3D Mapping and Modelling.
